Finally got time to take a snap for this...

submitted Patrick

Finally got time to take a snap for this great site, Keep it up! From top left clockwise:
-True Utility keyring system.
-Leatherman Squirt PS4.
-True Utility telescoping pen.
-4Sevens Quark miniX 123.
-Modified key SAK.
-True Utility cashstash.
-Omega Planet Ocean.
-HTC Desire HD.
-Leather cardholder.

Editor’s Note: Wow, cool keychain. Nice tools on it and the True Utility system makes everything modular and accessible. I’ve never seen someone use a wrist strap for their keychain carry, which I suppose makes it easy to access for people who pocket carry, right? Great SAKey mod too, you did a good job with that. Some unique stuff in here, thanks for sharing!

My first ever EDC! Still looking for a light...

submitted by Roy

My first ever EDC! Still looking for a light that will be cohesive to this setup:

Paul Smith wallet
3sixteen doublewrap bracelet
Cruzer Titanium drive
Labour & Wait bandana
$2 clip I found in a little shop in Chatham, MA
iPhone & BB
Le Breizh Kontell Breton blade
Blinde glasses

Editor’s Note: I think a small 1xAAA twisty light in stainless steel or titanium would suit your carry well judging by the rest of your items… If you want to keep with the overall aesthetic you can look into a brass light (try something by Peak, maybe). Really digging that handkerchief too, I should start carrying one again now that summer is picking up. Thanks for sharing and good luck on your light search!

Nice website.

I emptied my bag and got really surprised over how much I actually carry with me!

Editor’s Note: While admittedly I am not an expert on purse carry (believe it or not!) I think you have plenty of options of carrying lighter, if that was one of your concerns. For example, I see you are carrying a lot of your items in unnecessary bulk (all your pills, whole spool of thread, etc). If you take only the amounts you need while on the go and store them in some kind of pocket/bag organizer system you can clean things up and cut down on weight. Granted, you have a bag with lots of room but that doesn’t always mean you need to carry more than you need! I like to think of EDC not necessarily as what items you carry with you, but rather how and...

Seiko Monster modded
William Henry knife
Eric Blair titanium money clip
wallet(new wallet inbound from Barrett Alley!!)
Burts Bees
Blackberry 9700

Editor’s Note: Nice loadout! I’m a fan of modded Seikos as well (my SRP027K is still ticking just fine so I can’t justify a new watch)… I really like that moneyclip with the bottle-opener in it as well. Multifunctionality by design is always appreciated. Thanks for sharing!

Love your blog!  I had thought I was alone in taking preparedness-gadgets to a fetish level, but it seems I am not.

Thought I’d inject some estrogen into the submissions.   My everyday must-haves, without which I feel uncomfortable:

Kershaw 5-in-1 carabiner, Chapstick, Wallet, Surefire G2L, iPhone, Glock 19 (& DeSantis paddle holster), Tokidoki Dayplanner, Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil

Editor’s Note: Interesting that you carry a firearm and full-sized flashlight but opt to stick to your carabiner for a primary blade. I am not familiar with CCW EDC, so is this configuration a common occurrence (maybe for tactical applications/target identification?) I haven’t heard the...

-Springfield XD45
-T-Mobile Vibrant
-Benchmade 805SBT
-Jet-III M R5
-Stainless Sharpie
-Atwood Prybaby XL
-Zippo
-Thumb Drive

Editor’s Note: Yes! Some love for the Stainless Steel Sharpie — it’s a great marker to EDC. The rest of your setup looks good and shows some nice wear on it. I don’t see combo-edged blades very often. How do you guys feel about them? I can see the merit of having two types of edges on the blade but I’d imagine it would be better to just have a dedicated blade for each edge type. Thanks for sharing and carry on.

submitted by Lynx

I carry this keychain combination for a long time now and so far I am very happy with it:

  • Keys :)

  • Orange Alox Rambler by SwissBianco/Victorinox

  • Pico Pry Bar

  • Split Pea Peanut Lighter

  • Maratac AAA Stainless Steel flashlight

  • Valiant Concepts Stainless Steel Pen

  • Gerber Shard

  • TEC Accessories P-7 Suspension Clip

  • TEC-S3 Glow Fob

Best regards

Lynx

Editor’s Note: Very nice keychain! It is a bit more equipped than most but it covers bases nicely. The only redundancy I can really see is between the Shard, the Pico Pry Bar and the SAK — some tools overlap. The glow fob is a nice touch as it makes keys easier to find, especially if you...

I’m relatively new to EDC, being drawn in mainly by coveting the stuff on this blog (among others). Here’s my current pocket/bag dump. Though I have carried some of this for years, I’ve just added the knife and the light. I’m a science teacher, so this is very much (sub)urban rather than tacticool, and it is proving useful much more often than I had anticipated.

Earpeace Livewires T1 IEM’s - (customs, and they sound fierce)
iPhone 3GS + casecrown case
Tombow zoom 414 - (pencil + black, red ink)
Carmex
iPod Shuffle 2Gb - (for the gym only)
Sheffield Rogers Lambsfoot - (sturdy, classic pen-knife, all I can reasonably carry at school)
iTP A2 EOS - (a ‘gateway drug’ that already has me looking for more)
Casio ‘cuff-eater’ classic - (I’m sure it has a proper model-number somewhere)

I’ve been enjoying the site for a few months now. Here’s my carry today.

-Ray Ban New Wayfarers
-Spyderco C34
-Zebra F-701 Pen
-Leather Wallet
-Matte silver Zippo
-BlackBerry Curve
-Orient Mako Watch
-Keys with old Coast LED light

Pretty happy with everything, but will probably replace the light with a single AAA Fenix or Maratac soon. What would your pick be for an economical single AAA light?

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Editor’s Note: Great EDC. Slim, functional, and pretty stylish. The Jess Horn looks like a great knife, it’s interesting to see someone EDC a fully serrated blade though. As for your keychain light, you can look into the E05 like you said or the Maratac AAA. A similar light in that...

I just recently found your blog and have found it very entertaining and informative.  What I carry on a daily basis seems to change fairly often so I hope to submit a few future posts as well.

- Persol sunglasses
- Saddleback bifold
- Tom Krein midtech dogfish
- Bathys black Benthic
- keys on a Brooks Brother key fob, and on a Saddleback fob.
-Surefire E2e with GG&G TID(old school, but it was bootcamp grad present from mom)
-Nokia N8 in a Otterbox commuter case

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Editor’s Note: Cool gear! I don’t see some things in your set up very often. That Krein fixed looks like it would carry nice and slim. I also appreciate that your choices in gear all reflect a priority on durability. Keep it up and thanks for sharing!

These are the things I feel naked without.  My iPhone 4, a Victorinox SwissArmy Midnite Minichamp (includes a knife, scissors, file, pen and LED light), car/house keys and my wallet.

All I need.  Nothing I don’t.

Editor’s Note: This is a great example of minimalism and utility. I get a surprising amount of naysayers who contend that nobody ‘needs’ a light, knife, pen, etc on them and all you need is your wallet, keys, and a smartphone. Chris’s carry is essentially that but with an inexpensive, compact (58mm) gadget that provides a knife and scissors, among other things, without adding much bulk or liability to his carry. If you’re skeptical about the whole concept, just try carrying a little pocketknife like this with you and see if it ever comes in handy. Or I suppose you could just...

Trying to keep it simple. Phone, sunglasses, flashlight, knife and cardholder.

Editor’s Note: While the gear is nice I feel like you could go simpler if you opted for a less tactical knife/flashlight pairing. Something like a thinner folder and maybe a single-cell light instead would keep you carrying lighter. Just a suggestion… thanks for sharing!
