I own a mountain bike tailored around Scott Taos steel frame, using mostly second-hand components (mostly Shimano XT with ultra low gearing, wide Rigida DH rims and Michelin 2.1 cross country tyres), to keep the cost down. Heavy and sturdy machine that was put to extreme torture many times.

Wish I had more spare time this winter, I enjoy riding on snow...

Anyone else into this?
