I would suggest a Zebralight H51 because it can be used in many situations and it's a really good product, powerful, good balance of flood and throw, and duration is great too.

Zebralights are a class of their own for sure (good UI's, extremely efficient drivers and outstanding overall manufacturing) but their QC issues and customer service have been disputed over and over again. Check CPF (CandlePowerForums) for reviews and user feedback.

I have two headlamps at the moment: one Zebra clone (Ultrafire UF-H2b neutral XM-L mod) and one Petzl Tikka XP1 (neutral XP-G mod), and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Old version Tikka XP (or TacTikka XP) are still available through some online stores.

Cheers

Thanks guys for your help. I've read a lot info about headlamps. I'd like to buy a new headlamp from Armytek. It's here http://www.armytek.com/products/flashlights/headlamps/ But they had a small issue (lock up) with their headlamps. I think also about Zebra, but decided to delay my purchase for a monthSmile Now I check some forums all the time to know updated information.

Do you have any problem using your headlamps? which con's did you notice?

I never get enough runtime out of my headlamps, LOLIcon_cheesygrin

Just kidding. I've tried to make an educated choice and avoid most of the common caveats by reading lots of reviews, posted by people with different needs and backgrounds (I guess that's what you're doing now).

Just be sure to make a list of must-have features for your specific needs and follow it to the fullest extent.

Cheers,

Tam

Hey! I really recommend checking out the Fenix line of headlamps. Depending on where you live, they can be had for under $50. I have the HP25. at 45 Lumens ( it's second lowest setting) you get 24 hours of runtime. It also has an aluminum chasis, so it's rugged as can be. A Huge plus is that it runs on AA batteries, so you're never in short supply.
